If we ask which disease is more fatal for human health? Most of us say HIV but this is not always the case. There is one more very dangerous disease that is Cancers. In many cases, the person fighting with HIV lives longer than the person fighting with cancer. There are many types of cancers which are fatal for human health but here we will discuss cancers associated with men body mainly. There are mainly 5 types of common cancers in men.
So let’s keep an eye on each of them one by one.
Prostate Cancer
This is the most defamed cancer in men. Just after lung cancer, this is the cruelest cancer of all as its kills more than any other cancers in men. It’s hard to diagnose this cancer in the starting stage but if once it is detected in men within the time before too late, chances are there a lot to survive.
Even though it’s very hard to diagnose it in the early stage there are some symptoms in its advanced stage when it starts creating deep trouble for the patients. In most of the cases, these symptoms are observed as difficulty in passing urine, coming out blood along with urine, leakage in urine and pain in bones.
This cancer can be diagnosed with the PSA test. If found positive before too late, it can be treated with radiation technology, chemotherapy or surgery.
Lung cancer
This is the most killing threat to men’s health. Most of the men killed by the cancer are comes under it. Smoking is the main cause of lung cancer.
In most of the cases, this cancer is also not diagnosed in the early stage. In the advanced stage, this cancer creates a problem like taking a breath with noise, too much cough production, blood coming out while coughing.
Some very popular screening tests to diagnose it include examining the lungs, checking the sample of sputum and CT scan.
Lung cancer can be cured too if before sufficient time it is detected. Some popular methods to cure it are Radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and Surgery
Colorectal cancer
This cancer is also very common in men. In this cancer, the rectum is affected and becomes the reason of death for many men.
Symptoms of this cancer include not feeling the bowels to be empty all the time even when it is empty, diarrhea or very thin stool, red stool due to blood, sudden weight loss, cramp and bloating, etc. Though these signs in humans may not necessarily indicate the problem of rectum or colon cancer always, we must not take the chance and go for a screening test if we think after the suggestion of a doctor.
People who are smoking, not enough active, use red meat, use alcohol, etc are prone to be affected with this colon cancer.
Chances are higher to get this cancer treated completely if it is diagnosed at an early stage. There is some very good suggested and proven treatment like chemotherapy and surgery which helps the patient to get rid of this cancer.
Bladder cancer
The 4th most common cancer in men is bladder cancer. Though it can affect the woman also, men are at more risk than the woman. In this cancer, unwanted cell growth occurs in the bladder, the lower abdomen.
If diagnosed at the early stage this can be treated successfully.
The very common symptoms of this cancer are blood in urine, pain while urinating, etc. Though these symptoms do not always show colon cancer, we should not take any risk and consult a doctor.
This cancer is caused by exposure in radiation, smoking, use of tobacco, etc.
Bladder Cancer can be diagnosed with an X-ray, CT scan and with other available screening tests.
If the cancer is confirmed it can be treated by any suitable method like chemotherapy and Surgery, if diagnosed in an early stage.
Melanoma
Melanoma is a type of skin cancer. This threat is also very common in men. The number of men is more than a woman who dies due to this cancer. White skin men are more likely to be affected by this cancer than other men.
In this cancer the size of moles grows abnormally, change in mole colors also take places, some other moles might be visible sometimes, a lesion can also be seen which keeps itching continuously.
There is some treatment available to treat this cancer like chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, etc.
Exposure to the sun is not advised in this cancer. The longer exposure or sometimes even the short can damage the skin badly. It is advised to use sun lotion and sunscreen cream too before going out.
